WASC 2013 - SURVEYING: PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

On behalf of my SSSI (WA) Regional Management Committee colleagues and co-hosts SIBA and AIMS, it is my great pleasure to welcome delegates to this, the state's premier surveying conference ... a collaborative event that will seek to consider the past, present and future of the WA surveying industry.

Session topics have been designed to reflect upon the industry's development timeline from historical legacies, to key issues confronting the profession today, to a consideration of those technological advances most likely to impact practitioners in the years ahead.

With presentations covering disciplines ranging from cadastral, engineering, mining and hydrographic to geodetic, photogrammetry and metrology, I am confident each will provide a wealth of knowledge and insight to those in attendance.
